MIETEK WIRKUS, a Polish Bio-Energy practitioner was born in 1939. His unusual healing gift was discovered when he was just a small child.

In those days no one called this type of work “Bio-Energy healing.” This term has only been used since Professor Zdenek Rejdak from Charles University in Prague proposed a definition of Bio-Energy healing, as a “method … based on transmission of energy from one organism to another in order to improve the individual’s condition.” Technically defined, Bio-Energy healing involves the replenishment of human “bio-currents” and the elimination of energy disturbances and blocks.

Bio-currents are manifested in the Bio-Energy field surrounding the body, and have been identified through the use of Kirlian photography.

In 1982, Bio-Energy healing was officially approved in Poland to supplement the work of highly trained medical professionals.
